The brilliant role of John Williams in Schindler's List.
In the year 1993, the world witnessed one of the finest war & drama movies ever made in the history of cinema. Schindler's List.
This movie follows the life of one Oscar Schindler and how his humanity and kindness resulted in more than 1000 polish jews being saved in the midst of the holocaust.
One of the strongest points of the movie and one which contributed hugely in the overall impact that this movie made, is Music.
This original score was composed and conducted by the legendary John Williams.
This is one of the many exceptional scores composed by him.
The story that lead to this excellent piece of music, was shared by both John Williams and Steven Spielberg, the Director of the movie, a few times.
Once the film was shot, Speilberg showed the movie to John Williams. After watching the movie, John Williams was overwhelmed by the intensity of the movie and expressed that Speilberg needed someone greater to compose the score for this brilliant story. And Speilberg responded, "I know! But they are all dead."
Although there might be humour in the way it was said, it remains true that John Williams is indeed one of the greatest composers of the 20th and the 21st century.
In the year 1994, John Williams won the Oscars for the Best original score for Schindler's List.
It was one of the five Oscars John Williams won.
