The henious crime and MY STAND!

It is a no-brainer why this is the chosen song today.

This song is produced and performed by Lady gaga, co-written with Diane Warren, for a documentary, The Hunting ground, that deals with a campus rape in the United States.

This song was used twice in the film and both times to specifically highlight the pain and struggle of the survivors of #sexualabusecrimes

This song was later included in a public service announcement video directed by Catherine Hardwicke ,depicting the many violent crimes against women.

This song won many awards and it charted in the Billboards hot 100.

The lyrics of this song implores everyone to understand the loss & suffering of the survivor/ victim, by putting ourselves in their shoes.

The henious crime committed in Kolkata.

I have struggled to find words.

I could not find a better way to say this. This song speaks for me.

I stand with every one fighting for justice, for the basic right to safety, for the basic requirement to live with dignity and without fear.

To do our jobs and return home safely.

It makes no sense to live like this.

Things MUST change and it is HIGHTIME we fight to bring that wave of change in this patriarchial society.

I am burdened with grief!

The people in power trying to hide what really happened, and trying to disrupt the people's fight with hired goons to commit acts of Vandalism, is as horrific as the crime itself.

The Good People are fighting regardless of the opposition.

Wake up people in power!

You will never know what it is like to be in that situation. But you can still find your humanity and choose to act with a little bit of kindness in the midst of this terrible situation.

It is sad that every time a Man rapes a woman, people should take the streets and fight for justice.

When justice should've been an immediate response of our Government and Legal system.
